Lake Meke is 8 km in the southeast of Karapýnar. There is a pireklastik hill-140 meters higher than the lake-in the middle of the eliptical and 1500 squar meters crater. The Meke saltpan was formed in two phases. In the first phase, first of all the wide crater was formed as a result of a volcanic explosion and water filled in to it. In the secoond phase a cone was formed by the residue of riyolit and bazalt in the middle of the lake. The depth of the lake in the crater is 12 meters. (Location: Konya)
