A poem , written by Ülkü Tamer for famous Turkish Poet and writer Cemal Süreyya.

Tanrı

Bin birinci gece şairi yarattı,

Bin ikinci gece cemal´i,

Bin üçüncü gece şiir okudu tanrı,

Başa döndü sonra,

Kadını yeniden yarattı.

God

created the poet on the 1001th night,

and created  Cemal on the 1002th night,

God read a poem on the 1003th night,

then He´s gone back to the very beginning

and recreated the woman.

Ülkü Tamer
